Protocol Education are working with a welcoming secondary academy in Telford for a September start, and this is the kind of school where you can genuinely feel the sense of community the moment you walk through the doors. Built around three simple but powerful values, Empower, Respect and Aspire, the school encourages both students and staff to aim high, support one another, and grow with confidence.
Creativity is properly valued here. Art isn’t treated as an “extra”, it’s seen as a huge part of helping young people find their voice, build confidence and express themselves in meaningful ways. The department plays a big role in school life and is backed by a leadership team that understands the impact creative subjects can have.
The role
As the Art Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, helping students develop both their creative flair and technical skills. You’ll join a supportive department that believes great teaching comes from high expectations, positive relationships and giving students the confidence to have a go, even when things get messy (paint included).
There’s plenty of room to bring your own ideas into the classroom, with an ambitious curriculum designed to inspire students and reflect the diverse community the school serves.
What the school is looking for
* A qualified Art Teacher with UK QTS
* Someone who genuinely believes every young person can achieve great things
* A creative and enthusiastic teacher who can build strong relationships with students
* A team player who values consistency, kindness and high standards
* ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply
What you can expect in return
* A happy, inclusive and supportive school environment
* Leadership that prioritises staff wellbeing and development
* Students who are encouraged to take pride in their work and aim high
* Opportunities to grow your career and make a real impact within the local community
