We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Consumer Strategy to join us in London, UK or Schiphol- Rijk in Netherlands
The Consumer Strategy team represents the voice of the consumer within Liberty Global. We bring the consumer view and insights to bear on decision making and strategy setting both within Liberty Global and its operating companies.
We inform the organisation through best-in-class research, providing differential insights and cross-market intelligence in order to present actionable recommendations on key strategic topics.
We are agile and support the Group wherever we can to maximise value, ensuring knowledge and best practice is always shared.
Primarily, we are focused on the future and how we can help consumers thrive in a rapidly changing world.
In this role you will be responsible for leading the generation of market and consumer insights to help optimise the Liberty Global portfolio and outline new opportunities for growth. You will expertly influence senior stakeholders to drive favorable outcomes and positive change through your work.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic project management
1. Lead multiple strategic projects from inception through to actionable conclusions and recommendations
2. Manage external agencies and suppliers to deliver on time and within budget
Consumer insights and research
3. Plan, design and execute consumer research for strategic projects, through a variety of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
4. Utilise various sources and analyse consumer data, to generate actionable insights that inform strategic decision making
Market analysis
5. Understand the competitive landscape and identify markets gaps to proactively identify business opportunities, with a focus on new revenue
6. Build a strong understanding of product market fit, value proposition development and pricing, to define optimal market entry
Stakeholder management
7. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with a wide stakeholder group, including local operating companies and senior management
Represent the voice of the consumer
8. Have a deep understanding of emerging consumer needs and work closely with other strategic departments to define a long-term vision for how we can solve for them
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
9. Relevant years of professional experience in a strategic or consumer facing role
10. Experience at high growth e-commerce or digital oriented companies, in consumer strategy is required. Companies could include big tech, OTT, social and other digital/ecommerce native organisations
11. Has a strong voice in setting strategy and identifying new directions
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to discern key insights
13. Is a self-starter and thinks creatively around problem solving
14. Thrives on wanting to know why consumers act and feel the way they do
15. Has significant experience in designing research projects to proactively answer business questions
16. Has strong executive presence and communication skills (both verbal and written)
17. Has customer growth experience with experience of launching into a new category
18. Has an entrepreneurial mindset and is eager to grow in our unique company culture
PREFERRED EDUCATION/ QUALIFICATIONS:
19. Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Economics or a related field
