Job Purpose: To cover all general manufacturing administration tasks, working in conjunction with the Assembly Production Manager, Section Leaders and Team Leaders for all capital equipment and Customer Service sales orders. To progress all Assembly shortages and communicate requirements to all areas of the business to ensure timely completion of contracts including Customer Service and capital equipment. Main Duties: Responsible for providing administrative support to ensure smooth operations for the service and assembly teams. Tasks include managing and distributing technical documents and drawings to fitters, organizing and filing essential paperwork, and sourcing mechanical parts with a basic understanding of technical drawings. Act as a key point of contact with suppliers for services such as nickel plating, while also raising and managing purchase orders. Regularly communicate with suppliers to chase parts and confirm delivery ETAs, requiring strong coordination and engineering awareness. To utilise Epicor-based reports for expediting and kitting information. To manage the purchasing of safety equipment and stationery to a set budget. To liaise with other departments within the business to solve engineering and administrative problems with Capital and Customer Service sales orders. Attend meetings to help progress parts through the business. Kit all Capital (including J700/900) and Customer Service Sales Jobs. Ensure that kitting and shortage reports are up to date and accurate regarding part completion data. Prepare safety brief documentation and weekly briefs. Facilitate the daily information board reviews, ensuring concise and up to date information. Control the Q750 process ensuring corrective actions are completed and parts are returned to stores in a timely manner. Facilitate the auditing of all risk assessments for the area and making sure they are updated. To be aware of and follow all company Health & Safety policies and procedures. Candidate Profile: Motivated and well organised individual with the ability to work under pressure. Confident and decisive with good communication and analytical skills. Ability to liaise with all departments within the business in order to procure parts to meet the Assembly schedule for Customer Service sales orders and all capital equipment. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Awareness of customer requirements, internal and external, and the need to satisfy these. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote). Thorough, methodical approach and a problem solver. Optional Criteria An understanding of component manufacture, machined and fabricated components. A knowledge of the Epicor business system. IOSH certification would be advantageous.
