Overview
At Homes for Support, you’ll play a key role in helping young people aged 16–21 — including care leavers and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children — build confidence, develop independence, and prepare for adulthood.
You’ll provide day-to-day guidance, emotional support, and practical help that empowers young people to thrive and achieve their personal goals.

What you’ll be doing
* Supporting young people in their daily routines – cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and personal organisation
* Encouraging positive emotional wellbeing and resilience through consistent, caring relationships
* Helping young people access education, training, or employment opportunities
* Advocating for young people and promoting their voice in decisions that affect them
* Keeping clear, accurate records and reports in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards
* Working closely with Local Authorities, social workers, and partner agencies to ensure positive outcomes
What you’ll bring
* Experience supporting young people in Supported Accommodation, residential, or community settings
* A genuine commitment to empowering young people to achieve independence
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Resilience, empathy, and a positive, proactive approach
* A Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or willingness to work towards this)

Shift Pattern
Two on, four off shift pattern starting at 08:00-23:00 with sleep-in on a rota basis (no sleep-ins).
