Given the complexity and demands of the role, we are looking for an individual who is self-motivated, professional, and proactive. The role is very dynamic, varied and requires someone who is organised, a good communicator with a keen eye for detail with an excellent working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR, understanding the implications involved. In addition, there is a requirement to understand other related pieces of legislation relevant to the role such as Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, Computer Misuse Act, whilst also appreciating the restrictions governing data security. Due to the dynamics involved with some of the enquiries, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate multitask management. The post holder will also need to evidence a good knowledge of Microsoft applications such as word, excel and outlook and other Microsoft office 365 applications such as MS teams. In a multi-functional environment, the role will involve: Research and Investigation on legislation/ complex/ sensitive/ contentious specific subject matters and present recommendations. Providing support and advice to departmental Senior Management Team and colleagues Providing expert advice and guidance within the unit and wider organisation as and when necessary, preparing reports for senior officers at the point of need. Carry out a range of specialist technical/investigative tasks to time and quality standards. Assisting in and Developing staff within the wider team and organisation as required.
