Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Location: West Sussex Pay Rate: £92.56 - £95.00 per day About the School We are a specialist school in West Sussex catering to boys aged 5 to 11 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), including Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in creating a stable, supportive environment for our pupils. Key Responsibilities: Supporting primary-aged boys with complex SEMH and ASC needs. Working collaboratively with therapists and support teams to meet EHCP requirements. Personalising your approach to suit different learning styles and sensory needs. Maintaining a safe, respectful, and encouraging classroom atmosphere. Requirements A resilient, patient, and empathetic nature. Experience or a strong interest in SEMH and ASC. The ability to build trust with pupils who may have had negative experiences with education.
