Job Description
The key responsibilities of an Payroll Manager will include, but may not be limited to;
* Manage and oversee the payroll and pension function to ensure accurate and timely payroll.
* Lead and develop the payroll team, fostering a culture of high performance.
* Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and requirements.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the payroll function.
* Support the development of policies.
* Prepare and present payroll reports to senior management.
* Contribute to wider finance projects and initiatives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Payroll Manager should have:
* Public Sector and Government background.
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Ability to commute to Manchester.
* Full enhanced DBS background check.
* Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role within payroll.
* Thorough knowledge of payroll regulations and requirements.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
