We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a fast-paced FMCG business based in Leighton Buzzard. You will be responsible for managing the company's debtor ledger, ensuring timely payments, minimising credit risk, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Description
Credit Controller
* Proactively manage and collect debts from a portfolio of customers across the UK and international markets.
* Maintain accurate records of all credit control activity using the company's ERP system.
* Resolve queries and disputes quickly and efficiently, working closely with internal teams (e.g. Sales, Customer Service, Finance).
* Assess credit risk and set appropriate credit limits for new and existing customers.
* Monitor overdue accounts and escalate problem debts in line with company procedures.
* Reconcile customer accounts and allocate payments accurately.
* Produce aged debtor reports and provide weekly/monthly updates to Finance and Commercial teams
* Support month-end and year-end closing processes relating to receivables.
* Assist with continuous improvement of credit control processes and procedures.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role, ideally within the FMCG or manufacturing sector.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Good understanding of credit risk and commercial awareness.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
