Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Estimator, with previous experience within the fire protection sector, to join their busy Sales and Estimating Team
Key Responsibilities - Lead Estimator
1. Review tender documentation, including project-specific consultant specifications and drawings.
2. Liaise with clients and attend meetings to discuss project requirements and expectations.
3. Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
4. Conduct site surveys as needed to gather key data for accurate estimating.
5. Communicate with suppliers to obtain project-specific pricing and availability.
6. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create blueprints and preliminary designs to support the estimating process.
7. Apply in-house calculation tools to produce accurate and fixed cost estimates.
8. Prepare comprehensive proposal documents, including all relevant deliverables where applicable.
9. Track and follow up on submitted quotations, gather client feedback, negotiate as needed, and analyse outcomes to produce win/loss KPIs and lessons learned.
10. Manage one of two Estimator teams, providing leadership and guidance.
