Our in-house team of experts provides a range of mechanical and electrical engineering services at the main headquarters of the Ministry of Defence in London. We have also delivered a range of capital works and lifecycle renewal projects, all within a complex, highly secure environment.
We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Mechanical Engineer who will complete pre-planned as well as reactive maintenance services for the Ministry of Defence at its strategic tri-service UK headquarters. At one million square feet, Main Building is one of the largest office and most secure office buildings in Europe.
You’ll:
1. Carry out PPM and extra work requirements in adherence to set engineering standards in accordance with HASAWA requirement.
2. Cary out Fault Finding and plant adjustments.
3. Check and inspect mechanical/electrical services, plant and systems.
4. Execute maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specification.
5. Respond to re-active works.
6. Carry out general duties will require multi skilled discipline to carry out work such as test, inspection and repair of, motors, generators, chillers, AHU’s along with cleaning of foul water systems, drains, inspections and repair of all M&E systems such as extract and supply air ductwork systems, plumbing and heating systems. Carry out electrical testing of critical plant and lighting systems, replace lighting controllers luminaires.
We’re looking for:
7. Excellent working and theoretical knowledge of critical building systems within a Hard FM environment.
8. Health & Safety IOSH qualification or similar
9. Client Customer facing experience
10. Ability to obtain and maintain MOD Security Clearance
