NMIS Digital Factory is currently looking to recruit 2 modern apprentice technicians to work in the digital factory facility, you will be given the opportunity to experience a range of engineering technologies at NMIS Digital Factory. You will be working is within the Machining and Additive workshop team and will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of the aforementioned areas and specialise in a selected area for the final year(s) of your training programme.\nCompleting this apprentriceship you will gain\n>Practical, hands-on engineering experience\n>Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies\n>Strong safety, quality, and professional standards\n>Transferable skills for long-term career progression You will learn Core Engineering and Manufacturing Skills and develop a strong foundation in practical engineering. This will include:\n>Understanding engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances\n>Using hand tools, power tools, and basic machining equipment\n>Understanding materials, components, and manufacturing processes\n\nYou will also have the opportunity to experience and develop advanced manufacturing skills through exposure to modern manufacturing methods including digital manufacturing.\nAlongside technical skills, you will develop key transferable skills valued by employers:\nTeamworking in production and engineering environments\nClear communication with supervisors and colleagues\nFollowing instructions and documenting work accurately\nTime management and reliability\nProblem-solving and responding to technical issues\nBuilding confidence and professional conduct at work You are required to hold a minimum of 4 National 5âs at A, B and C (or equivalent) which must include English, Mathematics and a Science\nsubject.\nYou will have the ability to demonstrate problem solving/analytical skills and be able to demonstrate an interest in engineering.\nKnowledge and experience of using a CAD software and workshop equipment is desirable.\nYou should have experience of working with people at different levels and be able to demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills. You will have the abilitiy to work effectively as a team member.\nYou will have a willingness to demonstrate a hands-on approach to a variety of tasks and be keen to learn new skills.\nA driving license is desirable as you will be required to travel to other NMIS sites.
