As a Lecturer (T&S) in Digital Media you will teach, develop curricula and provide expertise in Digital Practice. Your delivery of education will be research or enquiry-led and will provide innovative learning experiences for students. You will have the opportunity to develop critically informed scholarship, pedagogic innovation, and teaching, learning and assessment experimentation. You will be expected to work with colleagues to develop our international profile and reputation for academic excellence.

We seek to appoint a Lecturer (T&S) in Digital Media to teach, develop curricula, provide scholarship contributions to our education and hold expertise in Digital Practice. Working in a research and scholarship-based context, you will create innovative opportunities for students to develop scholarship-informed practical skills. Your profile may demonstrate engagement with industry, external partners or third sector. We are open to hearing from candidates with a wide range of critically informed expertise. This might include, but is not limited to, expertise in Digital and Graphic Design, Narrative, Storytelling and Animation, Coding and Development, Games Design, 3D and Immersive modelling, development and interaction with Machine Learning or use of Creative Production Platforms (such as Adobe Creative Suite). It could also be expertise in research such as in digital methods using code, tools or platforms, or user research through industry-relevant methods.
You will be expected to ensure that your teaching reflects current scholarship and professional practice and understand digital and creative pedagogy. You will be expected to contribute to quality assurance processes, including student tracking and progression. With proven ability to teach in Higher Education, you will possess the ability and experience to familiarise students with current practice across creative and digital media and creative media platforms. You may have professional experience of Digital Practice relevant to students seeking employment, and a good knowledge of industry requirements.
