About the Role
The Facilities Manager will ensure the smooth and efficient running of the firm’s premises and support services. You’ll oversee building maintenance, health and safety compliance, office moves, budgets, leases, catering, cleaning, and contractor management.
This is a hands-on role that requires a confident communicator and strategic thinker with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming workplace.
Key Responsibilities
* Leases & Property: Manage leases, rent, service charges, and rates.
* Building Maintenance: Oversee repairs, maintenance, and compliance to ensure buildings are safe and operational.
* Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices.
* File Storage: Manage off-site file storage contracts and promote the transition from physical to digital storage.
* Catering & Cleaning: Oversee catering and cleaning contracts, ensuring quality service delivery.
* Contractor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers and contractors.
* Budget Management: Prepare and monitor budgets, track expenditure, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Space Planning: Coordinate office moves, refurbishments, and space optimisation projects.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders regarding facilities issues.
* Energy & Sustainability: Lead sustainability initiatives and promote energy efficiency across the firm.
