JOB TITLE: Senior Quality Engineer
SALARY: £70,929–£78,810 per year
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Bristol, Leeds, Halifax or London
HOURS: Full-time – 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid – 40% (or two days) in one of our office locations

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
Are you a Quality Engineer looking for your next role? We’ve got some exciting opportunities for Quality Engineers to join across multiple platforms.
Every day will bring something new. In these roles, you’ll get to:
1. Drive advanced software testing techniques using experience to apply test approaches such as risk based testing
2. Develop robust automation suites in Java/Typescript/Python using the defined LBG automation framework, solve complex framework issues, and extend existing frameworks when required
3. Incorporate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Apply the Automation Test Strategy to the applications under test
5. Perform exploratory testing
6. Design & execute different types of complex Non-Functional testing
7. Create, execute and report test cases via an API, using the defined LBG test management system
8. Mentor colleagues
9. Create or accurately request complex test data, taking into account referential integrity and metadata
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Testing & Quality Assurance
10. Building and maintaining automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Pytest, JUnit, Appium, RestAssured)
11. Exploratory, non-functional, and accessibility testing (performance, security, etc.)
12. Creating, executing, and reporting test cases using tools like Xray
13. Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
14. Managing test data and environments
Programming & Tools
15. Strong programming proficiency in Python, Typescript & Java.
16. Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence)
17. Source code management (Git, GitHub)
Big Data & Data Quality Engineering (Desirable)
18. It would also be desirable to have experience around Big Data technologies, AI/ML & Data Science tooling
19. Building BDD automation frameworks and test packs for event-driven architecture, data products, and ETL jobs.
20. Working with modern data technologies including:Testing & Automation: Pytest, DBT, GreatExpectationsData Engineering & Orchestration: Kafka, Cloud Composer, DAGs, Apache Beam, Spark, Dataflow, BigQuery, Pub/SubData Governance & Visualisation: Looker, Ataccama, Dataplex, Collibra
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
21. Mentoring and knowledge sharing within multi-skilled teams
22. Driving process improvements and adopting a continuous learning mindset
