Summary We are seeking an ambitious engineer to join our ScaleUp Team and grow with the company. As a Process Development Engineer, you will help develop Anaphite’s core technology and support the transition from pilot scale to full scale manufacturing. This role provides hands on experience in process design for Lithium-ion battery materials and exposure to innovative processes, equipment and chemistries. This exciting opportunity as a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer (or those with a similar set of skills and knowledge base) would see the successful candidates building an extensive knowledge surrounding the interesting technologies, materials and chemistries that are involved in scaling our powder production. You will be working alongside experienced Chemists and Process Design Engineers on design and operation of the pilot facilities, and be directly involved in the transition to full-scale manufacturing via automated and semi-automated chemical production equipment. We are looking for a practical, organised and driven individual who learns quickly, is conscientious, and cares about completing tasks to a high quality. A level of experience or exposure to design or hands-on operation of process plant and machinery is essential. Responsibilities/Duties Operation, optimisation and maintenance of process equipment. Support scientists and engineers with scaling of chemical processes within Anaphite Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver highquality products. Follow good engineering practice, particularly those regarding safety. Keep up to date with market and Anaphite technologies and research. Being adaptable and flexible in approach, producing innovative solutions to technical challenges. Required Proficiencies/Experience Required: A relevant degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or comparable experience in a relevant field. Experience in chemical production or aligned research and development role. A willingness to learn, develop ideas and troubleshoot. Ambitious, proactive and detail-focused. Personable and able to work both within a team and autonomously. Willing and able to do occasional overseas travel and. Willing to do ad hoc shift work to support sample production activities. Preferred: Hands on, practical skills with plant operations and maintenance activities Experience working with powder and powder technologies preferred. Salary/Benefits £40,000-£43,500 per year base salary depending on experience.
