Norton Primary Academy are looking for an experienced SEND Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work across all year groups at our Ofsted rated Good academy. With 336 children on roll at Norton, we are looking for a motivated and child centred individual to join our team. You will be part of a vibrant, supportive community who are committed to academic excellence and holistic development of every student.
Main duties include:
1. Provide small group assistance during lessons, adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and help pupils engage with the curriculum.
2. Provide intimate care for children as required
3. Prepare and adapt learning materials, set up classrooms, and assist with the use of technology and other resources.
4. Support students in developing social skills, encourage positive behaviour, and offer comfort and reassurance when needed.
5. Work closely with teachers, parents, carers, and other professionals, such as speech and language therapists, to support students effectively.
6. Undertake minor clerical duties, such as photocopying and preparing resources.
