We are looking for a
Schools Sales Manager
Location: Home Based with some UK Travel Reporting to: Head of department
Salary: £50,000 + £10,000 commission (uncapped)
The Role
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the conception and implementation of a strategic plan to develop accounts, drive new business and achieve targets with our Schools customers. In this role, you will coach and develop your team of Homebased Account Managers, and nurture and develop new business relationships and key accounts. A key part of the Sales Manager role is to demonstrate leadership, act as role model, drive essential sales activity, and support company values across your team. You will possess the drive to overachieve KPI’s and relish the challenge of both professional and personal development within a new business sector at Rightmove.
A typical week as a Schools Sales Manager might involve
1. Plan and communicate clear objectives for your team, drive and achieve KPI’s and support the performance of individuals and the team
2. Pacesetting leadership style, taking ownership, leading customer meetings, and engaging in essential prospecting and key account activity
3. Collaborate and direct the sales team’s activities for both prospecting and account management
4. Side by side phone coaching sessions with your team, identifying key strengths and areas for improvement with a view to driving consistent quality of conversations
5. Weekly KPI catch ups with your team, highlighting and celebrating strong performance and helping drive improvement
6. Conducting regular ‘How’s it Going’ meetings with your team to help unlock their potential and support their individual development
7. Motivating the team to achieve productivity and retention targets
8. Clearly and succinctly delivering key operational messages back to your team
9. Conducting interviews to ensure the quality of new team members are the highest possible standard
10. Planning and execution of monthly team meetings
11. Manage the day to day relationships with internal teams and external parties to support wider strategy
12. Attend and contribute to monthly sales, strategy and operational meetings
We’re looking for someone who
13. Experience in successfully leading ambitious sales processes and nurturing growth from a new customer base
14. Proven track record of successfully increasing revenue and delivering results within a sales team
15. The ability to think on their feet and look at new ways to drive results
16. Proven track record in leading a team of sales account managers
17. A competent user of Excel and PowerPoint
18. High level of self-organisation, planning and motivation
19. Be an expert in the sales process, spot training gaps and create change through effective coaching
20. Excellent communicator with the ability to engage and influence both verbally and written
21. Have initiative and be able to think independently with the ability to lead a team and drive great ways of working
22. Is comfortable with numbers and targets and can focus and motivate a team to achieve them
23. Works well with other key stakeholders and can confidently deliver key information.
24. Can ask for help where required
25. Has high expectations of great performance in their team and is relentless and tenacious in pursuit of it
26. Can integrate into a hardworking and dynamic management group and contribute from day one
