The position follows a Mon – Fri 9-5 shift pattern.
Applications are invited for an experienced, innovative nurse to join the Mental Health Service Practice Development Nurse (PDN) Team. The role involves working across prison healthcare, inpatient, and community Mental Health Service areas within NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde and the six Health & Social Care Partnerships (HSCP). You will collaborate with multidisciplinary and integrated teams to quality assure and support professional and practice nursing development.
You will report to the Professional Nurse Lead and support the delivery of the professional Nursing Work-plan. Your role involves working with stakeholders, including multidisciplinary team members, integrated services colleagues, and third-sector organizations, to support and ensure quality nursing practice development.
You will contribute to developing nursing teams by fostering a transparent, responsive learning culture through coaching and mentoring, and support continuous quality improvement in care delivery.
Your practice will be guided by values of compassionate, safe, and person-centered care, and you will provide visible leadership across the services you support.
