Team Leader Role Description
Our Team Leaders are cheerful, welcoming, and always ready with a smile. They bring heaps of positive energy to every shift. This includes supporting the Head Baker, encouraging the team, and making sure everyone, guests and colleagues alike feel right at home in our tent.
Team Leaders set the tone for a happy, caring work environment, where everyone can shine and have fun together.
Key Responsibilities
Operations
· Ensure smooth operations during opening, changeover, and closing, so that all team members are informed and everything proceeds effortlessly.
· Assist with weekly stock checks and ordering to ensure all supplies are available when needed.
· Maintain cleanliness and keep areas well-organized and inviting.
· Uphold food safety and health & safety standards at all times.
· Address challenges as they arise and seek manager assistance when appropriate.
· Provide daily updates and constructive feedback to the site manager to keep everyone informed.
Guest Experience
· Greet every guest with a warm, genuine welcome to help them feel right at home from the moment they arrive.
· Circulate through the venue with a friendly presence, checking in with guests to ensure they're enjoying themselves and offering support whenever needed.
· Respond to questions or feedback with patience, positivity, and a smile, making sure every guest feels heard and appreciated.
· Foster a vibrant, social atmosphere where everyone feels included, relaxed, and free to have fun.
Team Leadership
· Always be ready to support and guide teammates, especially those who are new to the team.
· Lead by example whilst setting a positive and encouraging tone for everyone.
· Pitch in with training and share helpful tips with new colleagues.
· Offer friendly feedback and celebrate each other's successes so everyone can grow together.
Working conditions
You'll join our brilliant team at our Manchester site, working shifts from Monday to Sunday. We're looking for someone who loves engaging with large groups and thrives in a lively environment. You may occasionally travel to other UK locations with notice.
Physical Requirements
This is a hospitality-based role, so you'll be active carrying ingredients and equipment and welcoming guests throughout the venue. Our opening hours are between 7 am and 11 pm, with shifts typically falling within this range.
