6 Month Contract with a local Authority Job Purpose To promote and sell waste management and recycling services to existing and prospective customers in accordance with Council procedure. The individual must be a self starter able to work on their own and as part of a Team. They must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car in order to travel across the borough of Thurrock. Key duties/Accountabilities Proactively identify and engage with potential customers to promote commercial waste and recycling services. Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure continued service uptake and customer satisfaction. Conduct site visits and assessments to tailor waste solutions to customer needs. Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Maintain accurate records of sales activity, customer interactions, and service agreements. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery and resolve customer issues. Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall performance of the waste services team. Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and competitors to inform sales strategy. Essential Experience Required. Proven experience in sales, preferably in a field-based or B2B environment. Experience working independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload. Essential Qualifications Required Full UK Driving Licence. Relevant qualification in field of work. Additional information to note This role is 37 working hours per week. The role closes on 07/08/25
