Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work on a supply basis across a network of schools in the Sheffield area. This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings, helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
* Support small groups of students with targeted interventions and classroom activities
* Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement support plans
* Help manage behaviour positively and encourage engagement in learning
* Adapt resources and approaches to meet individual learning needs
What We're Looking For
* Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, care or youth work background) are advantageous
