We are seeking a talented Operations Leader to join our Large Client Segment in Mercer Marsh Benefits (MMB).
The MMB business is a market leader in Health and Benefits consulting and broking. Its large client segment works with large and sophisticated clients across the market. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Operations Leader to make an impact, driving change and efficiencies across the business.
The segment operational leader plays a pivotal role by leading and delivering effective operational management and change initiatives to support both segment-specific and broader business growth and operational efficiencies. This role is a key member of the segment leadership team, the central operational team, and other key business partners, supporting the delivery of tactical and strategic goals. The focus is on all aspects of business operations—clients, people, and processes—to ensure excellent client outcomes. The role continually works to enhance operational effectiveness aligned with wider business goals, supporting profitable and sustainable growth.
Based in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, Edinburgh, or Chichester, this hybrid role requires working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
1. Work with the MMB Operations Leader and the Large Client Segment Leader to set strategic and tactical priorities.
2. Lead and implement business, operational, and change initiatives across the segment.
3. Contribute as a key member of the segment leadership team, driving performance and operational excellence.
4. Collaborate with the consulting community, operations team, and other stakeholders to embed processes that improve client delivery and outcomes.
5. Lead risk and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to all processes and regulations.
6. Support people initiatives, working with leadership and broader teams to enhance engagement, retention, learning, and development.
What you need to have:
1. Experience in a senior operational role within consulting or broking industries is preferred.
2. Strong collaboration, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to ensure business goals are met.
3. Financial acumen with the ability to interpret data for decision-making.
4. Technical ability with an understanding of business challenges and efficiency-driving actions.
5. Experience in leading change initiatives.
6. Excellent stakeholder relationship and communication skills, with the ability to influence.
