Job Description:
Vetro is actively seeking experienced Learning Disability Support Workers on behalf of a client based in Pontardawe, on an agency basis. The client supports adults with complex needs and learning disabilities. You must be passionate about making a difference to vulnerable people's lives by creating a safe environment to promote independence, encourage self-confidence, self esteem, and individuality throughout the service.
Overview:
* Title: Adults Learning Disability Support Worker
* Location: Pontardawe
* Job Type: Temporary
* Shifts: Ad hoc/temporary/temp to perm/part-time hours/full-time hours
* Pay: £13.68 p/h (inclusive of holidays)

The role:
What you'll be doing as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
You will provide therapeutic care and support to patients with autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex needs, including observing, monitoring and keeping a record of patient conditions, treating each person with dignity, compassion, and honesty. You will be helping with their Progression through a care pathway to live as independently as possible. You will have the support of a team of multi-professionals.
The candidate:
What you'll need to be successful as a Learning Disability Support Worker:
* A desire to create positive outcomes for adults with Learning Disabilities
* Empathetic, caring and resilient nature
* A minimum of 6 months experience of working within a social care setting in the UK
* Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or are willing to obtain one
* The right to work in the UK
