Security Officer
đź“Ť Location: Wokingham and Reading area, Berkshire.
đź’· Pay Rate: ÂŁ12.71 per hour.
đź•’ Shifts: 12-hour shifts (days & nights), 4 on / 4 off rotation including weekends and Bank Holidays.
About the Role
We are looking for professional, reliable, and motivated Security Officers to join our team supporting a high-profile client within the Wokingham and Reading area.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where you will play a key role in protecting people, property, and critical infrastructure.
You will be part of a professional security team delivering a high standard of service in line with client expectations and site Assignment Instructions.
What You'll Be Doing
1. Controlling access and egress to site, ensuring all visitors, staff, and contractors are correctly authorised
2. Conducting regular patrols of the site to deter and detect security risks
3. Monitoring systems including CCTV and access control systems
4. Responding to incidents, emergencies, and alarms in a calm and professional manner
5. Maintaining accurate records, including incident reports and daily logs
6. Providing a high level of customer service to all site users
7. Ensuring compliance with all site procedures, Assignment Instructions, and legal requirements
8. Supporting health & safety by identifying and reporting hazards
What We're Looking For
9. A valid SIA License, Security Guarding or Door Supervisor is required.
10. An SIA CCTV licence is desirable – training provided for the right candidate.
11. Previous security experience (preferred but not essential for the right candidate)
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Strong attention to detail and ability to remain vigilant
14. Calm and professional approach under pressure
15. Good IT skills (email, reporting systems, access control platforms)
16. A flexible approach to working shifts
17. A full 5-year checkable work history
18. SC Clearance (desirable or willingness to obtain)
19. Driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable)
