Job Summary
As a member of the Communications Team, the post holder will undertake a variety of roles related to NHS Wales Shared Services Partnerships (NWSSP) communications channels and work with colleagues from across the organisation.
Design, produce and edit content for NWSSPs internet and intranet pages, brochures, reports, newsletters, leaflets and posters. Use own skills, knowledge and judgement to manage projects and ensure all visual communications comply with branding guidelines, Welsh Language Standards, W3C web standards and information governance.
Monitor and develop NWSSPs social media channels and presence. Ability to speak Welsh is desirable, Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and update NWSSP social media channels, capture news across divisions and develop content and campaigns.
* Compile, write and edit content for internet and intranet pages, ensuring clarity, relevance and accuracy; manage webpage hierarchy as needed.
* Produce and edit corporate documents (brochures, reports, newsletters, leaflets, posters) using design software.
* Deliver communications training to less experienced employees.
* Collaborate with Communications Manager and Digital Communications Manager to produce video and photographic material.
* Provide communications support at events.
* Handle sensitive information appropriately and ensure public‑facing content is suitable for publishing.
Qualifications and Knowledge
* Educated to NVQ level 3 in business administration or equivalent, or significant previous proven experience in a communications‑related role.
* Certification in the use of Adobe software.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
Desirable Qualifications
* Degree level education or equivalent experience.
* Qualifications in media, public relations, web, marketing or graphic design.
* High level expertise in design or content management systems.
* Experience working within the NHS.
* Welsh language skills (levels 1-5).
