About the role
As a Workshop Controller, you will effectively manage workshop loading, efficiency, productivity, and quality, while meeting customer expectations through teamwork, ensuring that commercial and operational requirements are considered at all times. Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring all service customers’ requirements are handled efficiently, considering time scales and costs
* Managing the workshop to ensure Technicians are fully utilised
* Maximising sold hours in line with company targets
* Overseeing work experience placement students and apprentice training and supervision
* Ensuring Technicians are familiar with service and workshop bulletins
* Updating Technicians with relevant company information, policies, and announcements
* Maintaining strict control of warranty administration
* Ensuring all work is accurately costed
* Carrying out precise invoicing
* Promoting and implementing the ISO quality policy and requirements of the quality system
* Promoting the Company Health & Safety Policy, maintaining tidy and efficient work areas
* Liaising with Service Advisors and Parts Department regarding workshop loading, special orders, and requested completion times

* Providing a high level of service to internal and external customers, business partners, and suppliers

* Applying appropriate management controls and system exploitation

About you
To succeed as a Workshop Controller, you should have / be:
* Strong knowledge of vehicle technology
* Previous experience in a similar environment
* The ability to manage a team of 10 technicians
* Excellent communication and liaison skills
About the rewards
The role offers a weekly working schedule of 46.25 hours, starting at 8:00 am and ending at 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. The basic salary is up to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a bonus of approximately £13,000+. The benefits package includes:
