Role summary: This role will be key in supporting the Group on the implementation of Business Change Projects while managing a team of business analysts. It will support the delivery of an ambitious agenda for the automation of business processes across the organisation. The individual will be an experienced ERP analyst who works closely with business super users and the Business Transformation Programme. The candidate should be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, technical, and analytical skills. A key requirement is demonstrable experience in delivering Operation Design (Business-Processes), process re-engineering and supporting business-change projects, system integrations post acquisitions, and group strategic projects. As a leader, this role will have responsibility for the business analysis service provision within the organisation and its business units, with advice given and decisions made having a measurable impact on profitability and effectiveness.
Role Responsibilities
* Work with stakeholders at all levels to ensure business and IT improvements align with business objectives; define strategies, prioritise business requirements, conduct feasibility studies, produce organisational-level and detailed business models, and oversee the definition and implementation of holistic solutions.
* Take responsibility as a leader for the business analysis service provision for an organisation or business unit, where advice and decisions impact profitability or effectiveness.
* Determine the value proposition for the business analysis function and define roles and responsibilities for staff at all levels.
* Contribute to IT policy making and software/hardware procurement in partnership with other senior technical staff and IT management.
* Advocate for the business so that IT provision aligns with strategic objectives of the organisation or unit.
* Identify opportunities from organisational and technological change and define change initiatives to realise benefits; ensure benefits are defined, quantified, and managed to realisation.
* Advise and influence executive management throughout the business change lifecycle to ensure alignment with strategy and enterprise architecture.
* Work with the business at all levels to assess problems, identify opportunities, progress projects from concept, elicit requirements, and propose options.
* Evolve the company approach to business analysis and utilise best available methodologies, tools, and processes.
* Allocate workload across the team for support, change, and project activities, collaborating with stakeholders.
* Utilise SAP knowledge and experience to build SAP configuration as a core competency within the team and the wider business.
* Review business processes, digital customer/user journeys, and develop optimisation approaches.

* Apply SAP configuration as a core competency in the team and wider business.
* Review and optimise business processes and digital journeys.
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present fluently and persuasively on all aspects of business analysis to executives, staff, and external parties.
* Expertise in investigating, analysing, modelling, and recording a business area or system; process modelling and business environment analysis.
* Experience preparing and presenting business cases, RFPs/ITTs, and statements of requirements both verbally and in writing.
* Hands-on experience with rigorous analysis and testing using techniques such as Persona Development, Customer Journey Mapping, Requirements Engineering, Benefit Analysis, Change Impact Assessments, Pulse Surveys, Requirement Traceability, and Test Case/Scripts.
* Industry-recognised Business Process qualification.
* Team management experience and duties related to direct reporting.
* Experience of agile or waterfall project delivery and business analysis methodologies.
* Experience reporting project updates to steering groups and stakeholders.
* Strong SAP experience is essential due to SAP-centric business processes.

* Proven track record in leading a Business Analyst team, including conducting meetings and 1-2-1s, embedding best practices.
* Experience using and configuring SAP within a business context.
