About the Role
Are you an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer who takes pride in your work and enjoys variety?
You’ll be joining a growing, supportive team where you can use your skills across both servicing and small installation works on a range of fire detection and life safety systems.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of your sites, carrying out PPM, fault finding, system upgrades, and minor installations, while making sure everything meets BS 5839 standards and client requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing
Service & Maintenance
Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on addressable and conventional systems.
Complete weekly, monthly, and annual testing to BS 5839-1 standards.
Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively.
Keep accurate service reports, logbooks, and compliance documentation.
Small Works & Installations
Install additional devices such as detectors, sounders, and call points.
Carry out panel upgrades, replacements, and minor wiring tasks.
Make sure every job meets BS 5839 and BS 7671 standards.
Compliance & Reporting
Submit clear and accurate job sheets, commissioning certificates, and as-fitted drawings.
Provide feedback and recommendations for remedial works or improvements.
Client Interaction
Communicate effectively with clients and site teams.
Demonstrate system operations when required.
Maintain a professional, helpful, and positive approach on every site.
What You’ll Need
At least 3 years’ experience working on fire alarm systems.
Strong knowledge of systems such as Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki, Morley, and wireless setups.
Good understanding of BS 5839-1 and BS 7671.
Full UK driving licence.
Ideally based within 45 minutes of Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey
It’s a Bonus If You Have
FIA units or formal fire alarm training.
ECS/CSCS card.
Experience with Morley, Notifier, or other high-end systems.
