The Role
A secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Business Studies Teacher to join their department from September 2026 on a maternity cover, long-term supply basis.
The role involves teaching AQA Business across KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons that develop students’ understanding of business operations, finance, marketing, and enterprise. You will support learners in preparing for GCSE and post-16 qualifications, helping them build analytical, commercial, and evaluative skills.
Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, supporting coursework and exam preparation, and maintaining high expectations for behaviour and achievement within the classroom.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
7. Hold QTS or be an ECT
8. Have experience teaching Business Studies at KS4 and KS5
9. Be confident delivering the AQA Business specification
10. Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills
11. Be committed to supporting student progress and attainment
