Job Summary
Applications are invited for the post of Consultant in Rhinology, Anterior Skullbase Surgery, and ENT.
This is a new, full-time, substantive post working alongside the current Rhinology Consultant to provide tertiary and secondary care to the region.
Main Duties
The Rhinology service currently offers sinonasal and skull base oncology, tertiary inflammatory, Cystic Fibrosis, and HHT services. The ENT department at Addenbrooke's Hospital provides comprehensive care for all ENT conditions and consists of 14 Consultants. The department collaborates closely with Neurosurgery, ICU, Respiratory, and Paediatric specialties. It runs a busy skull base service, which this post would support, alongside the head and neck service. There is potential to expand facial plastic surgery services either through the ENT department or in collaboration with plastic and cleft surgery teams. The successful candidate will participate in the Consultant on-call rota.
You must be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have achieved CCT or be within six months of award at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
Development and Support
All newly appointed Consultants attend a five-day development programme within the first year, aimed at honing leadership and management skills essential for success at CUH.
