About the role:
Astute's Renewables Team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The company is seeking to add a Plant Operator with hours between 7am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:
* Monitor the anaerobic digestion plant, ensuring optimal run time
* Support the Plant Manager to implement and achieve operational and personal targets
* Ensure that the plant is clean and tidy
* Feed the plant using a Telehandler
* Ensure that the extruders are running smoothly and attending to any issues
* Maintain all relevant site health, safety, quality and environmental standards
* Ensure that health and safety is adhered to at all times
* Perform visual checks of the plant, logging all findings
* Perform any housekeeping duties that need doing
* Other duties are required
Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
* Telehandler licence or proven experience using and driving a Telehandler
* A recognised engineering qualification is preferred but not essential
* Experience working night shifts is highly preferred
* Demonstrable experience of working alone and upholding great H&S standards
* Experience in an agricultural, production or process environment
* UK driving licence
Personal skills:
The Plant Operator role would suit someone who is:
* A problem-solver and self-starter
* Excellent verbal and written English language
* Someone hard‑working who can work on their own and can be trusted to do what needs to be done with minimal supervision
