Job Description
We are hiring for a Chef Manager at Mill Hill Primary, Stoke-on-Trent who wants to ensure our future generations are provided with nutritionally balanced and tasty food. This role is term‑time only and does not work weekends, making it ideal for those looking for flexibility.
Role Details
* £15.00 per hour
* 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday
* Term‑time only – 38 weeks per year
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
* Ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
* Enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service in the client and customers, consistently exceeding expectations.
* Be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the location and supervise teams, including managing inventories, monitoring budgets, and implementing action plans.
* Serve as the main point of contact for our client in your school, ensuring that regular adjustments and improvements are recommended and implemented.
* Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets, ensuring these are achieved.
* Support, train and lead front‑line teams to complete all training and manage performance.
