Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Assistant Merchandiser to join their dynamic team.
As an Assistant Merchandiser, you will be responsible for supporting the Buying Office in achieving sales targets, analysing data, and executing strategic activities.
Key Duties:
1. Assist the Merchandising team to achieve seasonal sales and profit targets
2. Collaborate with the Buying team to recommend improvements and maximise sales potential
3. Use analysis of departmental performance to trade and drive profits
4. Forecast sales and manage stock levels
5. Develop vendor relationships to influence trading opportunities
6. Communicate effectively with the team to ensure alignment and clarity
7. Prepare reports and provide insightful analysis for strategy planning
8. Complete seasonal markdowns and monitor stock targets
9. Manage and develop team members
Essential Skills & Requirements:
10. Strong numeracy and analytical skills
11. Advanced Excel knowledge
12. A team player with excellent communication skills
13. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills
14. Proactive and able to work with initiative
