Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit two Construction lawyers (to undertake both contentious and non-contentious Construction matters) – one of 1 to 4 years’ PQE and the other 5 or more years’ PQE. These roles are wide ranging and will include advising the firm's clients on the avoidance, management and mitigation of Construction disputes; investigation and advisory work; adjudication; litigation; mediation; and arbitration in respect of disputes in the construction sector including changes and variations; extension of time and delay claims; claims for loss and/or expense, prolongation and disruption; payment disputes including those relating to payment and pay less notices; termination and suspension; defective design, materials and/or workmanship; and professional negligence. The successful candidates will also attend meetings with clients, conferences with counsel and attend court, as required. Additionally, you will develop strong working relationships across the firm and with a wide variety of clients and, where necessary, supporting the Construction and Engineering Projects practice on non-contentious matters. Applicants will currently specialise in Construction law and will consider candidates with contentious or non-contentious or mixed (contentious and non-contentious) experience, but you must be happy to undertake a role where you will undertake contentious and non-contentious matters. A willingness to support the marketing and business development activities of the firm's Construction Advisory and Disputes practice, is also important.
