Job Role:
We are seeking an organised and proactive Dispatcher to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is crucial in coordinating patient transport, managing driver schedules, and ensuring timely communication between staff and services. You will play a key role in supporting patient care by keeping operations efficient and responsive.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and dispatch drivers for patient transport and medical deliveries
* Monitor schedules and adjust assignments to meet urgent operational needs
* Act as the main communication point between drivers, clinical staff, and management
* Maintain accurate records of journeys, timings, and service requests
* Ensure compliance with NHS and UTC operational policies
* Handle urgent calls and prioritise tasks effectively under pressure
* Support smooth day-to-day transport and operational activities
Requirements
Requirements:
* Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or healthcare coordination preferred
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
* IT literacy and basic knowledge of scheduling software or databases
* Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts
