Move Dance Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Musical Theatre Teacher to join our teaching team. The successful candidate will be passionate about working with children and young people, capable of delivering high-quality, engaging classes in singing, dancing, and acting, and committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver structured and engaging lessons across a range of age groups and abilities.
* Teach musical theatre skills including acting, singing, and movement in an age-appropriate and accessible way.
* Encourage student progress, confidence, and creativity.
* Prepare students for academy performances, showcases, and examinations.
* Ensure the welfare and safeguarding of all students, maintaining a safe and inclusive environment.
* Communicate effectively with the academy team, parents, and guardians regarding student development.
Essential Criteria:
* Demonstrable experience within musical theatre (performance and/or teaching).
* Strong classroom management and rapport-building skills with children.
* Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
* Safeguarding and First Aid training (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable Criteria:
* Teaching qualifications in performing arts.
* Previous experience choreographing, directing, or preparing students for examinations.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £18.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.5 per week
