THE EMPLOYER IS: FRESH MINDS EDUCATION The Social Media and Content Creator supports Fresh Minds Education’s digital presence by creating, managing, and scheduling content across social media platforms. The role helps ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with organisational values. This post contributes to raising awareness of services, engaging with audiences, and supporting the charity’s communications strategy.
Responsibilities
* Authoring and creating posts for social media platforms in all formats (written, visual, video, audio etc).
* Scheduling content using social media management tools and linking to FME fundraising platforms.
* Leading graphic design and content formatting for digital publicity campaigns.
* Monitoring engagement and responding to messages, tags and links where appropriate.
* Helping maintain a consistent brand voice and tone for the charity.
* Social Media Platform Management - Creating and managing content across platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
* Content Scheduling Tools - Planning and scheduling posts using social media management software.
* Basic Graphic Design - Producing visual content using design tools such as Canva.
* Content Writing - Writing clear, engaging captions and short-form content.
* Content Review & Quality Control - Checking content for accuracy, clarity, and suitability before publication.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
* Experience Using Social Media Platforms: Demonstratable Experience creating and posting content on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram (personal, voluntary, or paid experience accepted).
* Content Creation Skills: Ability to create simple written, visual, or short video content suitable for social media using tools such as Canva or similar design software.
* Clear Written Communication: Ability to write clear, engaging captions and short-form content with good spelling and grammar.
* Organisation: Ability to plan and schedule posts, manage simple content calendars, and meet agreed deadlines.
* Attention to Detail & Brand Awareness: Ability to check content for accuracy and ensure posts align with agreed tone, values, and organisational messaging.
* Confidence in developing confidence in sharing ideas and work in teams and publicly.
Desirable Skills
* Experience Supporting a Charity or Community Organisation Online: Previous experience creating content for a voluntary, education, or community setting.
* Understanding of Engagement Metrics: Some awareness of how to review likes, reach, or engagement data to help improve future content.

Location: Antrim Enterprise Centre. The Employer is: FRESH MINDS EDUCATION JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information. Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach. Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability.
