Portfolio Design & Control Lead
1. In collaboration with Group Strategy and Group Finance, drive the strategic design, shape and definition of NFU Mutual’s Enterprise Change Portfolio.
2. Drive alignment between strategic priorities and business outcomes through robust portfolio control and governance.

About the role
Are you passionate about driving strategic change that delivers real business impact? As our Portfolio Design & Control Lead you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping NFU Mutual’s Enterprise Change Portfolio, ensuring initiatives are strategically prioritised, financially sound, achievable, and sequenced for optimal delivery.
This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll collaborate closely with Group Strategy and Group Finance to define and evolve our Strategic Change Roadmap (SCR). You’ll work closely with our Enterprise Portfolio Delivery Team to shape pipeline initiatives, ensuring alignment with our Strategic Investment Flightpath (SIF) and wider Group Strategy. Your work will directly influence how we deliver change across the organisation—making sure it’s not only effective but also meaningful.
You’ll oversee control and governance frameworks, manage communication plans, and ensure business cases reflect strategic outcomes. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration, you’ll energise others and lead a talented team to deliver change that matters.
About you
You’re a strategic thinker with a proven track record in leading enterprise-level change portfolios. You bring a blend of technical expertise and leadership capability, with the ability to translate strategy into action and inspire others to deliver results.
Your experience includes:
Managing delivery within a complex enterprise change environment
Building strong partnerships with Strategy and Finance functions
Driving robust control, financial governance and risk management across change programmes
Communicating effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
Leading and developing high-performing teams
