Nasmyth Coventry, based in Exhall, is currently recruiting 2 x Order Managers.
Monday to Friday - 37 hours per week
Salary up to £40,000 per annum
Job Overview
We are seeking 2 x Order Managers responsible for overseeing the end-to-end order management process to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient workflow through the facility. This role involves coordinating with internal teams (sales, logistics, quality, finance, engineering, production) and external customers to process and fulfil orders accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in managing order workflows, projects, or programs.
Responsibilities
* Support the planning of load and capacity, execution, and delivery of production-related projects. They typically work under the guidance of the project managers, helping to coordinate timelines, resources, budgets, and communication across internal and external stakeholders.
* Exemplify a safety-first mindset, ensuring the company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) framework, standards, and policies are adhered to.
* Contribute to the site HSE culture by maintaining a safe and organized working area (5S).
* Manage the full order lifecycle, from order receipt to delivery and invoicing with detailed accuracy.
* Monitor order status and proactively address delays, stock issues, or customer concerns.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer agreements.
* Analyse order trends and contribute to process improvements related to planning and forecasting.
* Promote continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements to deliver productivity and efficiency.
* Track project progress and update documentation (e.g., Gantt charts, budgets).
* Participate in daily “put to work” meetings with the Production Team to ensure work is prioritized according to business commitments.
* Monitor supply chain and inventory to avoid bottlenecks.
* Collaborate with sales and finance departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
* Work as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.
* Motivated by the prospect of leading the manufacture of next-generation airplane engine components.
* Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change with a flexible approach.
* Possess order and/or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
* Experience in Precision Engineering, ideally in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Oil & Gas, or subcontract machining.
* Qualifications in a project management discipline.
* Proficient in English (written and verbal).
* Experience working within an MRP/ERP system.
