Job Title: Content Assistant

Salary: £, per annum full time equivalent (£, will be pro-rated for your -week internship)

Location: Cambridge/Hybrid (- days per week in the office minimum)

Contract: Full Time ( hours per week) / Fixed Term ( weeks)
Placement dates: th July – th September

About the role

The Content Team in the International Education business area is responsible for developing educational products for the International and UK schools markets across a wide range of subjects and levels. We are looking for a motivated and organised person to support the Content Team to enhance our processes which could include the safe integration of AI (Copilot) within our role. Key areas of our team's focus are English as an Additional Language (the Language of Learning), pedagogy (the Science of Learning), EDIB (Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging), accessibility and syllabus alignment, and we are seeking someone to build a good understanding of the team and it's needs to suggest process improvements to support our increasing responsibilities.

As part of this role, you will:

1. Develop an understanding of the Content Team and how we function in the wider International Education business area.
2. Contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, including but not limited to the use of AI prompts, process mapping, and workflow automation.
3. Research and suggest new tools or technologies that could improve project timeframes and collaboration efficiency.
4. Adapt an existing AI/Python tool used to map syllabus alignment for use within the remits of the Content Team.

About you

You will have an interest in educational publishing and gaining experience in an editorial team. You will demonstrate knowledge of confident, safe and responsible AI use. You will have an interest in business process improvements and optimising workflows. The ideal person will be analytical, curious, and eager to identify inefficiencies, contribute to solutions, and support cross-functional communication to ensure smoother, more effective resource writing and development.

To be successful in this role, the following skills, values and behaviours are desirable:

5. Experience working with AI following safe-use guidelines.
6. Experience in building tools using programming languages such as Python – incorporating AI models wherever necessary.
7. Familiarity with curriculum structures or educational content is a plus.
8. Ability to identify inefficiencies and suggest practical improvements.
9. Ability to quickly form positive working relationships.
10. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
11. Open to new tools, methods, and shifting priorities.
12. Eager to ask questions, research, and suggest solutions independently.
