ROLE: Deputy Care Manager

LOCATION: Llanelli, Carmarthenshire (SA15)

HOURS: Full Time, 35 hours per week

SHIFTS: 8:30am - 9:00pm and occasional nights, 9:00pm - 8:30am

SALARY: £15.60 - £16.20* per hour

LEVEL 5 QUALIFIED SALARY: £16.10 - £16.70* per hour

Reporting to: Registered Manager

Successful candidate needs to be fully flexible and available to work their share of weekends.

What You’ll Do:

As Deputy Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the daily operations of our supported living services. You’ll lead and inspire a team of support staff, ensuring that we deliver outstanding care and support in line with regulatory standards (CQC/CIW). We offer you the autonomy and responsibility to make a difference while developing your leadership skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.


Key Responsibilities:

* Lead by Example: Manage, inspire, and motivate a team of support workers. You’ll be hands-on, supporting them while creating a positive, inclusive work culture where everyone thrives.
* Service Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of our services, ensuring person-centred care is delivered and that we comply with CQC/CIW regulations. Your organizational skills will be key to ensuring smooth operations.
* Rota Management: You’ll take charge of scheduling to ensure that we have the right people in the right places, keeping staffing levels flexible and efficient.
* Quality Control: Conduct audits and assessments, ensuring that we continue to meet the highest standards. You’ll be the driving force in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
* Supportive Leadership: Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to your team, helping them grow in their careers. You’ll also be involved in crisis management, safeguarding, and ensuring all support plans are delivered effectively.


What We’re Looking For:

* Successful candidate must hold at least a QCF Level 3 or NVQ Level 4 (Ideal candidates should ideally hold a QCF Level 5)
* Proven experience in managing and leading a team
* Deliver high standards of person-centred care and support, working closely with residents
* Support the Home Manager in achieving financial targets for the home
* Ensure compliance with CQC regulations and internal company standards
* Take responsibility for the overall management of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager
* UK Drivers License needed!
