We are looking for compassionate, skilled and dedicated live in carers to join our Spinal Care Team.
As a live in carer in our Spinal Care team, you will be part of a specialist team supporting individuals with spinal injuries in their own homes. You will be responsible for providing high-quality live‑in care to help clients with daily living tasks, personal care and mobility assistance whilst maintaining their independence.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence – we do not provide Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship.
You will need to provide a minimum of 2 weeks on and 1 week off availability. You will also receive an undisturbed break of 2 hours per day.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing personal care, including assistance with bowel management and catheter care.
* Support with mobility and rehabilitation exercises such as hydrotherapy and home exercise plans for those with a spinal injury.
* Administer medications as prescribed, recording on our electronic MarChart whilst monitoring, documenting and reporting changes in health.
* Assisting with cooking and meal preparation, maintaining a nutritious and balanced diet.
* Offer emotional support and companionship, as well as person‑centred care to enhance the client’s quality of life.
* Help manage daily activities and routines and social activities, promoting independence.
What We Are Looking For
* Previous experience in delivering spinal care (preferred but not essential).
* A compassionate and patient individual with a strong desire to help others.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Willingness to undertake in‑house training and development opportunities to support your role.
* Flexibility, reliability and a strong work ethic.
Our Top Five
* Feeling of reward: there is no better feeling than knowing you have made a difference to someone’s day, week or even month.
* Flexibility: we understand the importance of having a work‑life balance.
* Variety: no day is ever the same and this truly is a special part of working in care.
* Real qualifications: unlike other care providers, we offer a full range of training and opportunities to gain qualifications; we also pay for your training course as well as the time you have spent training with us.
* Our perks: there are plenty of reasons you will love working with us, from our competitive pay rates to our market‑leading mileage pay. We have a fantastic management team and operate an open‑door policy in our branches.
Our employees’ mental health is important to us, and with the launch of our new wellbeing app we have an opportunity to connect with our care workers and discuss any issues they may have been experiencing.
Due to the nature of the role and being community based, you will need to have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as well as the right to work in the UK.
Please call our recruitment team on 01727891004 if you are ready to take on a rewarding and impactful role. We would love to hear from you!
