Overview
Join Givaudan as Key Account Manager in Milton Keynes, UK. You will report to the Commercial Director EAME GFI and manage sales and business development within the region for the Givaudan Flavour Ingredients Division (GFI), selling ingredients to the flavour industry. You will work with a dynamic team and pursue opportunities within EAME. Givaudan embraces diversity and is committed to building an inclusive environment where everyone contributes to the world.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate accounts in EAME and lead activities of appointed customers to align strategy and plans; develop distributor relationships; communicate with accounts; negotiate prices; manage project pipelines to achieve growth plans.
* Develop our business by generating a broad base of new opportunities, including through the distribution network; analyze customer potential through brand strategies, positioning, strengths/weaknesses, and competition.
* Position our products by ensuring GFI participates in targeted briefs and core lists; manage large commercial projects with GFI Commercial innovation; lead GFI activities for designated accounts; cultivate relationships with decision-makers to position GFI as the preferred supplier.
* Set strategy by communicating strategic account plans, sales forecasts, and budgets with clear indicators; defend the base business in markets and with customers.
Qualifications
* University degree, preference for Food Science
* 8+ years of successful sales or customer relationship experience in the food or food ingredients industry
* Fluency in English is required
* Apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills to develop account plans
* Knowledge of customers and competition landscape
* Understanding of customer strategy, programs, priorities, launch processes, and how to position GFI’s offerings
* Understanding of profitability goals for accounts
* Ability to work in a matrix organisation
