A welcoming and well-regarded primary school is seeking a confident and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who can inspire, motivate and support pupils across a Primary School while also taking on responsibility for leading learning when required.
The school is known for its warm, nurturing ethos and strong commitment to supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. You will be joining a dedicated staff team who work collaboratively to ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
Leading whole-class learning during teacher absence or as directed
Delivering small-group and 1:1 interventions to support progress
Supporting teaching and learning across the primary school
Assisting with planning, preparation and assessment under teacher guidance
Promoting a calm, structured and positive learning environment
Working closely with teachers, support staff and senior leaders
Full-time position, Monday to Friday
Temporary role with potential to become permanent
Person Specification
HLTA status or solid classroom experience
Confident in leading learning and managing a class
Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum
Positive, proactive and able to use initiative
Warm, approachable and able to build strong relationships with pupils
Resilient, professional and committed to inclusive practice
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs is desirable but not essential
