Finance and Insurance Officer

1 full time, permanent position (37 hours a week)
The West Yorkshire Police’s city centre based Finance Department is wishing to recruit a driven, organised and committed individual to undertake the role of Finance and Insurance Officer. You will work as part of a small, professional team to provide an efficient and comprehensive support function to the Insurance Team and the broader Finance Directorate where applicable in accordance with Financial Regulations and Force Policies.
You will be responsible for:
Supporting to the Finance and Insurance Lead who provides a comprehensive insurance service across the Force, National Police Air Support and the Region ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained and administered.
Act as single point of contact in relation to the Finance and Commercial Services Freedom of Information requests
Act as single point of contact for commissioning reviews for Finance and Commercial Services policies and financial forms
Provide assistance to customers as applicable ensuring compliance with operating procedures, financial regulations and Force Policy.
Ensure all communication channels for Finance and Commercial Services are accurate, timely and up to date including on the Departmental Intranet site.
Provide support to the wider Finance function by processing and inputting transactions to ensure that income and expenditure is accurately and correctly reflected in the financial records including Government and Criminal Justice Inspectorates Grant returns.
