We’re looking for a Training Manager to join our team in Spalding, UK. The Training Manager is responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive training strategy that aligns with the business objectives. Key responsibilities include identifying training needs, designing relevant programs and evaluating the effectiveness of their impact on employee performance, food safety and health & safety standards. The role is accountable for driving a culture of continuous improvement, introducing innovative approaches to enhance the training experience. It also involves streamlining compliance training to ensure it is accessible and adaptable within a 24-hour operational environment, fostering a strong learning culture across Westfalia Fruit. Travel Requirements Travel between our three main sites in the Spalding Area will be required. Occasional travel to our Kings Hill office as needed. Responsibilities include: Drive Business Growth – Identify and deliver essential compliance and performance training aligned with strategic goals. Shape Training Strategy – Design and implement a company-wide training plan focused on food safety, H&S, and continuous improvement while managing a high-performing Training Team to deliver consistent, top-quality learning across all shifts. Maximize Value – Oversee training budgets to minimize risk while supporting key business initiatives and champion digital transformation though full Learning Management System (LMS) rollout and optimization. Empower Leaders – Equip managers with tools and data to effectively track, evaluate, and manage team training. Measure What Matters – Analyze training ROI and lead apprenticeship programs to support workforce planning and continuous development. Requirements Essential Solid knowledge of UK manufacturing legislation and associated training compliance. An understanding of training needs for major auditing bodies and regulatory standards. Experienced in developing and delivering diverse training formats (e-learning, workshops, mentoring, etc.). Proven track record in creating effective training programs and content for multiple delivery methods. Detail-oriented and analytical, with high accuracy and proficiency in data analysis and reporting. Desirable Experience of implementing and embedding a new Learning Management System.
