Overview

The Childrens Trust is seeking a motivated and organised individual to join the Business Development & Commissioning Team as a Business Development Marketing Officer. This role supports marketing and business development activities to drive referral-generating activity and increase brand awareness, working with the Senior Business Development Marketing Manager.

The Childrens Trust is the UKs leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing rehabilitation, education, therapy and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth and to children and their families across the UK via our Community Rehabilitation Service. We are the largest centre commissioned by NHS England for Category A neurorehabilitation.


Responsibilities

This role supports the Senior Business Development Marketing Manager on all marketing and business development activities to drive brand awareness, identify and develop opportunities, cultivate relationships and partnerships, and increase referrals to achieve income budgets across all services. Responsibilities include:

* Maintain an up-to-date database of key contacts and referrers, ensuring data is collected and managed in line with data protection principles.
* Handle incoming enquiries (telephone, email and fax) for The Childrens Trusts services as required.
* Organise and manage logistical arrangements for meetings and events (on-site visits, showcases, tours, educational sessions, webinars, round tables, conferences, networking events) including sourcing venues, travel, accommodation, packing and delivery of materials, and liaising with third parties.
* Represent The Childrens Trust professionally at events, internally and externally.
* Monitor and recommend improvements to website content and enquiry pathways, materials, and branded merchandise; coordinate production of new materials with the marketing team as required.
* Coordinate with the central Marketing and Communications team to ensure content is accurate and aligned with brand guidelines.
* Monitor competitor activities and summarise findings to support decision making.
* Provide administrative and project support to the Head of Business Development and Commissioning and Senior BD Marketing Manager; produce reports as required.
* Support cross-cover for the Placements Officer as required; raise and receipt purchase orders; reconcile monthly transaction listings for budget management.
* Adhere to The Childrens Trust policies and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
* Undertake other duties within your skills as required by the organisation.

Person Specification

Qualifications

* Essential: Educated to at least A-level or demonstrable equivalent experience.
* Desirable: First degree in a relevant subject.

Experience

* Essential: Customer service/sales/marketing experience, preferably within the health care sector; administrative/secretarial experience with a range of people; experience collating information into reports.
* Desirable: Experience maintaining databases; experience working with commissioners or regulators.

Skills & Abilities

* Essential: Excellent verbal and written communication; excellent sales/marketing skills; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; experience arranging and minuting meetings.

Personal Qualities

* Essential: Commitment to the organisation's vision and values; flexible, proactive, highly motivated, reliable; able to cope in a demanding environment; commitment to wellbeing of self and colleagues.
