We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Electrician to join our growing team based in Selkirk, covering work for multiple housing associations with live contracts and tenders. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for secure, long-term employment with varied and interesting work.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance and installations in both void and tenanted properties.
* Replace smoke detectors, heat detectors, pendants, sockets, light fittings, and switches.
* Complete Electrical Inspection Condition Reports (EICRs) and remedial works.
* Replace storage heaters and attend to wet rooms, showers, shaver points, ceiling fans, and general bathroom electrical repairs.
* Investigate and resolve electrical faults (e.g. tripping lights, power issues, etc).
* Deliver excellent customer service during scheduled appointments (typically 6-8 per day via a mobile app system).
* Participate in an optional out-of-hours standby rota providing 24/7 cover for emergency call-outs.
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
* Optional participation in the on-call rota
Requirements:
* Fully qualified Electrician with 18th Edition Certification.
* 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification (preferred but not essential).
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* Own hand tools and battery drill required.
* Own van is desirable but not essential. We have a '24 plate van available for the role.
