About the Role
* Prospecting activities: pro-actively prospect and build relationships with commercial and personal insurance clients in line with our acceptance criteria in order to develop a sales pipeline of quality prospects sufficient to achieve new business targets across all income streams.
* Delivery of new business: review and identify the commercial and personal insurance needs of prospects and advise on NFU Mutual insurance products, seeking opportunities to differentiate our offering to add value and win sustainable new business.
* Introduce the full range of NFU Mutual products, including Financial Services, Risks Management, and our full range of General Insurance products.
* Targets: successfully achieving a minimum of £80,000 - £150,000 Gross Written Premium Income sales, £10,000 Risk Management Service sales and £10,000 income for Financial Service products per annum upon completed training and licensing program.
* Transact business compliantly within FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) requirements and always with a ‘customer-centric’ approach.
* Work effectively within a team; collaborate with our truly customer focused team of Service, Claims and Account Management colleagues in the Agency - to ensure that the new business you worked so hard to generate is well looked after and retained come renewal.
* Develop knowledge and expertise; utilise the extensive training, support, and resources available both within the Agency and wider NFU Mutual to develop an in-depth understanding of our NFU Mutual philosophy and our associated insurance products.
About You
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience of UK commercial insurance sector is desired. Cert CII qualifications/part-qualified is preferred.
* A proven record of selling against defined targets.
* Knowledge of FCA regulations and compliance.
* An enthusiasm for insurance with real drive, energy, and enthusiasm, providing the best experience for our customers.
* Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, & relationship building abilities.
* Pro-activity and the ability to work independently to develop a pipeline of prospects and drive your own sales performance.
* Strong I.T. literacy.
* Minimum of 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 (or equivalent) including Math’s and English.
* Full driving license and access to your own car for client visits.

Successful candidates will be required to attend training courses arranged and run by NFU Mutual and pass the relevant licensing qualifications within an agreed timeframe.
