Overview
The Forklift Truck role ensures production runs smoothly by transporting production materials, substances, packaging, finished and semi-finished products in alignment with production needs and manufacturing specifications.
Responsibilities
* Ensure production does not stop by transporting production materials, substances, packaging, finished and semi-finished products in relation to production needs and in accordance with manufacturing specifications.
* Ensure that the handling vehicle supplied is in perfect working condition at all times, verifying, with the established frequency, the safe condition of the vehicle and completing the appropriate paperwork.
* Carry out all material and product handling in compliance with production times, storage locations, line needs and requests from Operators.
* Operate, power and supervise machines and equipment in the area of competence in proper condition of use and operation.
* Participate in cleaning and general maintenance.
* Maintain efficiently all instrumentation necessary for measurements, tests and controls; report any anomalies and failures.
* Support compliance with the FSSC22000 Standard; observe Occupational Safety, Hygiene, Environment and HACCP regulations; observe the Worker Code of Conduct.
* Perform operations assigned to enable the smooth operation of production lines.
* Carry out checks as per the control plan required by the quality system.
* Provide an effective handover to the next Crew at the end of the shift to ensure smooth production continuation.
* Fork truck license is essential - B1 reach & counterbalance, and double handler attachment.
* Previous experience in high speed production and manufacturing.
* This role involves shift work - 12 hour shifts, working days, nights and weekends (2 weeks day shift, 2 weeks night shift).
* English language skills - written, verbal and reading are essential for communication.

Remuneration & Additional Information
Base salary - starting salary is £32,500 per annum. This role involves shift work with 12 hour shifts (days, nights, and weekends).
